About Our Daycare

Playing outside and allowing your child to explore the outdoors encourages them to use their imagination more freely. Children who learn better through active, or kinetic movement can benefit from being taught everyday subjects in open spaces. (Providing the weather is suitable, of course!)

At the end of the day, a child’s primary concern is having as much fun as they possible can. Being inside all day restricts access to fresh air, extensive exercise or a simple freedom to socialise and interact with nature.

Education and Development in Nature

Our daycare is ran by qualified childminder and University Graduate Caroline Cope. Children enjoy regular trips to the beach, our very own allotment, local woodland and more. We have our own chickens and ducks which provide an enhanced feeling of responsibility (as well as being very cute). We encourage ‘real life learning’ counting things we see, identifying colours or wild flowers. We don’t simply rely on textbooks to nourish our child’s minds.

Our ethos for childcare is a mix of both forrest childcare and Reggio Emillia approaches. Our activities obviously change seasonally and we constantly strive to provide stimulating surroundings for our children.

Daily Gallery

Our children enjoy stimulating outdoor adventures on a regular basis. Exploring our local woodland, enjoying time tending to our very own “little growers’ allotment or simply having fun at our local park. We also offer a variety of messy play activities in-house, including an amazing mud kitchen, paint areas and regular craft options. Ensuring there is always something stimulating for our children to take part in if they wish.

Free-Flow Learning Setting

Although we run alongside curriculums. We allow the freedom of choice amongst our children. Deciding on the structure for the day themselves.

Natural Educational Development

Learning outside promotes a positive lifestyle, mental health and exercise. We offer a wide variety of outdoor activities and trips for our children.

Independence Encouraged
